InterviewCoach AI ("we", "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.
Voice recordings: When you practice an interview, we temporarily record your voice to transcribe and analyze it. We do not store audio recordings — only the text transcription.
Transcriptions and answers: The app collects the transcribed text of your practice answers, the question answered, the interview category, and analysis results to show feedback and progress.
Account data: If you sign in with Apple, we receive your name and email (optional) to identify your account.
Optional professional profile: During onboarding, you may provide your professional area and experience level to personalize AI-generated questions.
Usage data: We save your practice answers, scores, and progress so we can show your improvement over time.
Payment information: Subscriptions are processed through the Apple App Store. We do not store credit card information.
InterviewCoach AI uses OpenAI, a third-party artificial intelligence service, to generate practice questions and analyze your answers. Before sending data to OpenAI, the app shows a screen explaining what data will be sent and asks for your permission.
The data that may be sent to OpenAI includes your answer transcription, the interview question, the practice category, and, if you provided it, your professional area and experience level. This data is used to generate questions, scores, strengths, areas for improvement, filler-word detection, an improved answer, and a feedback summary.
We do not send OpenAI your audio recordings, Apple name, email address, payment details, or full history. OpenAI processes this data under its own privacy policy available at openai.com/privacy and must provide appropriate protections for the data it processes.
We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties, except:
Your practice data is stored locally on your device using SwiftData. We do not have access to your practice data from our servers.
You can delete your data at any time from Settings → Delete Account. Voice recordings are not stored — they are processed in real time and discarded.
InterviewCoach AI is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
We will notify users of significant changes to this policy through an app update.
